You will be greeted by your skipper Adam first thing in the morning in town where the bus will pick everyone up take them to the boat waiting on the jetty. A quick safety brief and general rundown on the boat and then we are off. Heading out the reef via North or South passage and depending on the conditions and the days plans. Once outside the reef we usually travel 1-1.5 hours to our first fishing spot. It can be a long steam but, if you want to get the fish, that's what you go to do. We troll lures on the way out, targeting Black Marlin and Sailfish. Which are tagged and released. Your skip Adam was awarded the "Top Tagging Captian" by the Billfish Foundation for Black Marlin in the Indian Ocean for 2021. We also may catch Whaoo, Tuna, Mahi Mahi or other Pleagic species while trolling. Who ever books on that days trip first, is first on strike. Anything caught while trolling if kept is shared amongst everyone. Once we get to the fishing grounds, we will give you a demo of how to use the gear. Listen up for some good tips that will help you make the most of the day and stay safe. We fish with our Alvey snapper winches. We have found these to be the most efficient way to catch fish and can be easily used by almost anyone. Fishing in anything from 50 to 150 meters of water depending on conditions. But our usual stoping grounds are about 90 to 120 meters. One of the best aspects of fishing in this area is the variety of fish species we catch. Sure we like to target our favourites of Goldband and Red Emperor. But every days catch is different with many different species of Snapper's, Emperor's, Cod's, Jobfish, Perch and Bream normally making up the days catch. You keep what you catch up to you bag limit of 5 fish. But everyone on the boat keeps fishing until it's time to go home  or until we reach the limit for the boat. If we do manage to "bag out" and you did not manage to catch your 5 fish, your catch may be topped up by others that may have caught more than their 5. All the fish are expertly handled. We dispatch the fish using the humane Ikijime technique and then place them in a ice slurry to maintain the best possible eating quality. At the end of the day back in town we will expertly fillet, skin and bag you catch for you. Also processing and encouraging you to take other usable parts of the fish such as the wings (the best bit).
