Coral Bay's longest running fishing charter

Seaforce has been part of Coral Bay for may years. Has seen plenty of skippers and even more deckhands.

Sarted by Simon Brown (Simo) many years ago, then taken on by Bushy & Colleen and then more recently in 2013 by current owners Adam and Peta Cottrell. It has maintained a large and loyal customer base with several of our groups now in their 20th+ year of fishing with us, and many more regulars even longer. Both Simo and Bushy brought along many years of local commercial fishing knowledge, which was, and still is key to our success. Current skipper and owner Adam has take all this on and is dedicated to maintain and constantly improve the service and experience. Recently we have put more time and effort into out Game Fishing and Deep Drop fishing. And it has payed off with plenty of monster Ruby's and 8 Bar Cod finding the deck, and good numbers of Marlin being tagged. Also success in the recent Exmouth Billfish Bonanza, winning 2 of the 3 categories (Champion Boat Marlin & Champion Boat Combined). Moving forward our next target will be the Broadbill Swordfish, while still improving our fishing experience.

The hardest working member of the Seaforce team.

Val, our 50 ft Westcoaster. She is the ideal vessel for fishing in and around the Coral Bay area. Plenty of room to move and can comfortably fish up 14 people at once without issue. We take great pride in maintaining her to the highest standard. She is no air conditioned show pony, but she is a extremely stable and safe fishing platform. With a fully shaded deck and huge flybridge area to relax on the couches and beanbags. Powered by a model detroit 60 series diesel she is as reliable as they come. Most importantly she catches fish, and lots of them. Valiant has the ability to raise fish like no other vessel.

Owner of Seaforce since 2013, Adam, wife Peta and more recently son Alex have lived in Coral Bay for the past 10 years. Always loved boats and fishing his entire life, previously fishing out of Jurien Bay came to Coral Bay looking for a bit of a change after working as a qualified electrician for 15 years, and he found it. Unfortunately still also woking as Coral Bays electrician, but priority and passion is Seaforce and Valiant. As Coral Bay's volunteer ambulance officer, a Master 5 and high level of mechanical experience you can feel safe knowing you are in good hands. Maintaining Seaforce's high catch rate since taking over as full time skipper you can also be confident he will put you on the fish. Wanting to push Seaforce into the future exploring new fishing options including his personal favourite of Deep Dropping, chasing Broadbill Swordfish

Matt has been our deckhand for Seaforce since early 2016. Passionate about Surfing and Fishing, it is not un common for him to work on the boat all week and on his first day off take his own boat fishing. Matt know his stuff on the deck and works hard all day to make sure you enjoy yours. Also previously fishing out of Jurien Bay, Matt has definetly made his mark (or tags) in the local Billfish population. Consistently landing quality fish with and without Seaforce on his days off. With aspiration to skipper he is currently working towards his Master 5.

We get asked a lot of questions about recreational fishing options in Coral Bay, and some of them we can even answer. But it has prompted myself to start building a guide for anyone wanting to give fishing in Coral Bay a go on their own. Before I was running Seaforce I was (and still am) a keen recreational fisher in Coral Bay so I have complied some general knolage and tips to help get you started. It is a work in progress but with a land based guide and a lot of resources already on the site it should be of some help to get you started.
